Education & Teaching Experience:
In 2011, I graduated from the University of British Columbia where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I also attended Queen's University, in Ontario. During this time, I studied English Literature and History.
In 2011, I began my practicum in India (Chauntra, Himachal Pradesh) where I taught at the Sambhota Tibetan School. In 2012, I finished my extended practicum in British Columbia (SDSS) and completed my course work from Simon Fraser University.
From 2012-2014 I worked as Teacher-Librarian and Sr. Social Studies Teacher at Southpointe Academy.
Then, from 2014-2016 I was a private tutor, along with helping international students at Langara College with their transition to the Canadian Education system.
In 2015 I began working for the Langley School District, and I have a continuing contract where I work happily at Langley Secondary School.
- This combination of studies has impacted my perspective on teaching and influenced a more humanities approach to my courses. I tend to weave stories into the Social Studies curriculum and focus on thematic links between units for English.

International Teaching: Highlights from India
"Education is much more than a matter of imparting the knowledge and skills by which narrow goals are achieved. It is also about opening the child's eyes to the needs and rights of others." -Dalai Lama |
